The Big Book of Maps (for Tabletop Roleplaying Games)

I'm very excited to announce the successful funding of my Kickstarter, "The Big Book of Maps (for Tabletop Roleplaying Games)" – A collection of over 150 full-page high-resolution RPG maps to be released as a PDF book, print book (hardcover and softcover), and collection of 600 dpi digital maps with VTT-ready versions.

New maps in the series are being released to backers twice weekly for downloading starting the day funds clear. All backers get Map Icons Sets which have been unlocked as various stretch goals.

The Big Book of Maps (for Tabletop Roleplaying Games) will be available for purchase in PDF, softcover print, and hardcover print in Spring 2018. There will be various digital products supporting VTT tabletop gaming released in tandem.

Monster of the Month #1: Basajaun

AAW Games today announced Monster of the Month, a new addition to their tabletop gaming site Adventureaweek.com

Monster of the Month brings to life a new monster from ancient folklore every single month for both Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition and the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game.

Created using actual folklore gathered by Justin Andrew Mason then expertly illustrated by AAW Games' lead artist Mates Laurentiu (Romania), the monsters are then crafted by Stephen Rowe (Pathfinder RPG) and Chris Harris (5th Edition). Leonid Ponomarev is also converting both versions over for use in the Fantasy Grounds virtual tabletop.

AAW Games is offering MotM in PDF, print 8 x 10 cardstock, and Fantasy Grounds so GMs and DMs can easily add new and exciting opponents to their ongoing campaigns.

Subscribers to Adventureaweek.com receive Monster of the Month for free in addition to AaW full product catalog access (online flipbook format) and 2 PDF downloads per month. Adventureaweek.com also features an extensive audio soundboard, the Aventyr Campaign Setting, and new races/classes for players.

5-Star Review for Stowaway on the Singing Sea

I'm excited to announce that my adventure "Stowaway on the Singing Sea" (published by AAW Games / Adventureaweek.com) landed a 5-star review from Endzeitgeist! Yet another really great review!

"Stowaway on the Singing Sea" is a Mini-Dungeon adventure designed for 5-8 character of levels 3-4. The adventurers have been hired by local authorities to sneak aboard the merchant ship, The Last Song. The vessel is owned by the Elloise Drake (suspected of also being the nefarious pirate, Lady Wavedancer). Law enforcement at the port city of Tangran’s Landing have managed to arrange for a “special piece of cargo” to be loaded upon the vessel for its upcoming voyage. Rather than the fine silks said to be in the shipment, the adventurers are smuggled aboard hidden inside.

You can check out the full review on Nerdtrek.com:
This adventure can be purchased via Adventureaweek.com, DriveThruRPG, RPGNow, and Paizo.

Talking Cartography & Design w/ G*M*S Magazine

This week I talked with Paco Jaen of G*M*S Magazine on their "RPG Interview Room" podcast. I had a blast! The topics were cartography and graphic design, but conversation ended up covering everything from work ethics to life philosophy.

Thanks for having me on, and for the great conversation, Paco!
