Throne of the Dwellers in Dreams
Another Mini-Dungeon I wrote is now available for purchase. Throne of the Dwellers in Dreams is an adventure for six characters of levels 5-6.
While seeking work the PCs are contacted by an artificer named Vynthis Targain who offers them a job investigating an ancient tomb complex. He is convinced the site contains information pertaining to the location of three relics known as the dream rods. He also believes that these artifacts are hidden somewhere within, but his own research has proven fruitless.
This adventure can be purchased via Adventureaweek.com, DriveThruRPG, RPGNow, and Paizo.

Kickstarter/DriveThruRPG Backer Fulfillment App
After the initial release of products for the Into the Wintery Gale kickstarter there were many backers not receiving their activation links/codes to download their products. This resulted in a massive customer support effort that took well over a week to resolve.
With future products to be released in this line, as well as releases for other Kickstarter projects, I developed a web application for AAW Games/Adventureaweek.com that integrates the Kickstarter records with the DriveThruRPG records and provides an easy "lookup" interface for backers. Now backers can lookup the links/codes sent to them (should they not appear in their e-mail inbox as intended) by going to a URL provided in an update and entering the e-mail address associated with their Kickstarter account.
For the second wave of product releases, this application minimized customer support to a few hours rather than 100+ hours of labor -- and provided a better response time overall, allowing backers to obtain this information themselves.
Since it's initial release, this web application was also utilized for the Aventyr Bestiary kickstarter as well, with similar positive results. It has also been packaged with a configuration file that allows for it to be easily deployed for any potential future Kickstarter projects that include product delivery from DriveThruRPG.

The White Wyrm Awakens
The fifth Mini-Dungeon I wrote in the "Into the Wintery Gale" series is now available for purchase. The White Wyrm Awakens is an adventure for 6 PCs of levels 13-14.
In this encounter the adventurers have met the Hvíturiddare “White Riders” clan of Vikmordere and witnessed their unusual practice of riding into battle on the backs of gargantuan winter wyrms. When the party earns the trust of the White Riders, the clan reveals to them that only very special wyrms can become mounts, and even then only with the use of wyrmreins. These particular creatures only appear within an ancient holy shrine located in the northern mountains—a sacred place known to them as the “Ormurhellinum.”

Mini-Dungeon Series: New Covers
With the Mini-Dungeon series by AAW Games/Adventureaweek.com expanding in size with each new publication, it was becoming difficult to differentiate the products, especially in various storefronts where there were dozens of thumbnails that really provided no information about the product theme or content.
I have gone back to create covers for all 30-or-so Mini-Dungeon publications for AAW Games/Adventureaweek.com. These covers provide a glimpse at the dungeon map, artwork to clearly portray a theme for the adventure, the publication number, and a larger title that can be seen on product thumbnails. Author names for each adventure have also been added to provide a bit more recognition for their hard work.
A template file has been created to allow for relatively easy addition of future covers for new releases to the series.
I have gone ahead and updated the thumbnails with these new covers for all the Mini-Dungeon products available on Adventureaweek.com, DriveThruRPG and RPGNow. These will become increasingly useful as the Mini-Dungeon series is released on Trapdoor Playbook.

Through the Storm of Stars
Last week I was invited to be a member of The Blue Bugbear Collective -- a group of game developers making tabletop board games for digital environments and platforms. While I was out with the flu most of the following week, in that down-time I did design a completely new board game, and put together a completed playtest kit including the game board, miniatures, cards, etc. I have submitted the game, "Through the Storm of Stars" to the group.
Since submission, I have converted my playtest kit to the fully digital platform they are working on, and it has been approved and added to the schedule for intensive playtesting.
Through the Storm of Stars: A science-fiction board game created by Justin Andrew Mason.
In this exciting board game about deep space travel you take on the role as a captain of your very own interstellar cargo ship. Space transport is a dangerous business, and only the best of the best and the bravest of the brave make it their life’s work – you just happen to be one such space entrepreneur.
You have secured an important job to retrieve and deliver valuable cargo somewhere within a vast network of ten neighboring star systems. Important passengers, terraforming equipment, or black market goods – no cargo is too risky!
The challenge is to make your way through the vastness of the black while avoiding perils such as running out of fuel, encountering deadly space wraiths, and (should you be smuggling black market goods) being boarded by the Intergalactic Police Force.
As you travel between star systems you will encounter many things both strange and wondrous. From interdimensional wormholes and caravans of space merchants to abandoned derelict ships and other captains who may attempt to steal your ship’s resources. The dangers and opportunities are boundless.
Businessman, smuggler or pirate? See if you have what it takes to make it through the storm of stars!
I'm looking forward to the playtests for this one, and eventually getting it released to the public. It will be my second foray into board game design.
